Finding the right internship site is not just about hours. It is about finding a place that will actually prepare you, show up for you, and make you feel like your presence matters. That search can be exhausting, and we know it.
At No Stress No Stigma, we have built something intentional. A practice where the people who work here genuinely care about each other, where your development is taken seriously, and where showing up as a full human being is not just allowed, it is expected
Support from Day 1
Onboarding that actually prepares you. You will have guidance before you ever sit with a client, not after. Meet the team supporting you from day one.
Community, Connection, and a Little Fun
Quarterly team socials, a culture of genuine connection, and a team that is always available when you need support. Being a good clinician starts with feeling like a human being first.
Trainings you will Actually Use
Every month, we bring the team together for training built around what you are actually encountering in your caseload. Real modalities, real application, real growth.
A Clear Pathway Forward
Many of our current associates started exactly where you are. We promote from within and we invest in the people who invest in us.
We Show Up For Our Clients. We Show Up For Each Other.
What began as a passion project has evolved into something more. We’re proud of where we’ve been and even more excited for what’s ahead.
What sets us apart isn’t just our process—it’s the intention behind it. We take time to understand, explore, and create with purpose at every turn.
NSNS Internship Testimonials

“My internship at No Stress No Stigma ended up being a really fruitful experience. One thing I was pretty stressed about going in was getting all my hours in on time, and I appreciated that the staff actually paid attention to that and worked with me to make sure I could accrue what I needed. It didn’t feel like I was on my own trying to figure that out, which made a big difference. There were also some good extra learning opportunities. The weekly Discovering Your Authentic Self group (based on Bowen family systems), for instance, which gave me a chance to reflect, as well as connect with peers, beyond just clinical work.
Probably the biggest thing for me was the sense of community. Even though everything was remote, I still felt connected to the team and other interns, which isn’t always easy to pull off. It felt more collaborative than I expected. I learned a lot during my time there, both clinically and personally, and I’m glad I had the experience!

I joined NSNS about halfway through my internship, after completing my practicum and most of my Internship I hours at another site here in Seattle. That site specialized in group therapy and primarily served clients with alcohol use disorders. I truly valued my experience there, but I recognized the need to deepen my skills in individual therapy and to work with a more diverse client population.
Finding NSNS turned out to be the perfect fit. I was able to onboard smoothly and begin working here while wrapping up my time at my previous site. The process was flexible, allowing me to set a schedule that balanced my internship responsibilities alongside my job and commitments to both sites.
I was initially nervous about the transition, as it felt like a significant shift from what I had been doing. However, the level of support I received was incredibly thorough, I always felt like I had multiple safety nets if I needed guidance. Once I got started, everything fell into place. I built a caseload quickly and established a consistent schedule that allowed me to meet my required hours. I could rely on my supervisor for support in navigating new client concerns, and the continuing education opportunities at NSNS further expanded my knowledge and clinical skills.
As I approached the end of my internship, I was thrilled to accept a position as an associate with NSNS. Nearly all of my clients were able to continue working with me, and I still see many of them today. The opportunity to build deep, lasting therapeutic relationships has been incredibly meaningful.
I’m grateful for the ongoing support and sense of community at NSNS. It’s an environment that blends a laid-back atmosphere with deep expertise, genuine care, and compassion. No Stress No Stigma offers a refreshing perspective on what it means to practice professionally in a truly human way!

“I have felt very supported throughout my internship at NSNS. I appreciate that the practice provided plenty of structure in their onboarding, as starting out can be an overwhelming process! I have also been given the space to grow and flexibility to mold the internship and my hours to my lifestyle. It was important to me to work with a practice who also values long-term therapy; finding like-minded individuals at NSNS who believe therapy is a marathon and not a sprint lends me confidence and makes me feel right at home. I have also had very supportive and meaningful relationships with my supervisors.”

10/10 recommend. It’s completely normal to feel anxious starting an internship, especially in those first few weeks, but the supervisors and leadership here are highly responsive and genuinely supportive. They made sure I consistently met my direct hours each quarter and stayed on track. By halfway through my third quarter, I had already completed my course requirements and was offered an associateship. I continue to receive the support I need to transition smoothly into seeing clients as an LMFTA after graduation. Even though it’s primarily a telehealth practice, there are still plenty of opportunities to connect with others and build real camaraderie.
